Hello November!

Nice to see you November!  I LOVE the fall.  I wish all the Fall Festivals wouldn't stop until the bitter cold came. I love taking Briana out for all of the festivities and making memories.  Farms, corn mazes, slides, hayrides, petting zoos, apple cider, kettle corn, jelly and I could go on forever.

So yeah, it's been awhile... I felt it was time to dust off my little blog.  Hopefully I can add it back in to my crazyness of a schedule.  I left off saying Goodbye for awhile due to my job promotion and going back to work full time.  It's been great for the most part!  I love the people I work with (though there's always that one that annoys the crap out of you.)  But all in all, life is good.  Family is good.  GREAT actually since I found out we are expecting again!

Took long enough right?  I've been having baby fever for way too long.  But I am glad that only one out of two kids will be in diapers.  Briana will be close to five years old by the time Little Pumpkin #2 comes out next year.  I hope that B will be ok with all of this and not get too jealous...

I am almost 19 weeks along.  Just a little over a week until we find out if baby is a Boy or Girl.  So excited to find out finally and to hit the half way mark!  With my first pregnancy, I had no morning sickness.  This time around, the whole First Trimester was spent with nausea... no vomiting, but I couldn't eat much.  I was so sleepy all the time.  Once I hit the Second Trimester, I've been feeling pretty good.  I still like to sleep, but not as much.  There is some soreness, probably due to expanding.  Oh yes, and my boobs are HUGE.  Holy God I've never seen something grow so fast... wasn't exactly a thrilling experience!  Other than that, I'm happy as a clam.  I plan to enjoy this pregnancy to the fullest.  Thanks to Pinterest, I've come up with tons of photo ideas.  Very much looking forward to the festivities in a few months.
The plan is to have another c-section at 39 weeks to prevent my scar tissue from rupturing.  The arrival will be on the last week of March which will also be the Hubs and I's second year Anniversary.
Now if I could only build up the motivation to start cleaning and getting the house ready...

Very much looking forward to the month of November.

○ Finding out the gender of my baby bump!

○Thanksgiving (and having off of work for once!)

○ My sister's Birthday landing on Thanksgiving

Having some time off work on the weekends to spend with Family

○ Baking

○ Getting started on baby registries ☺

A Forced Upon Break Time...

It's already obvious that I've fallen off the face of the Bloggy Earth.  I miss it so much!
My full time job is consuming a lot of my life.  So the time I do have is spent with my little lady and Husband.  I love my promotion, it's brought on a lot of responsibility and dedication on my part.  Now, I'm trying to learn how to manage my time... and it's hard.  Before, I had four days off a week since my baby was born four years ago.  I had lots of time for my little family.  Now I have to find time, and my schedule's full.  There's not much time for me to carry on my favorite hobby; blogging.  It's hard to even find time for reading and I really miss my Kindle.  The last few months I've been slacking off with my exercise routine and I feel like a squishy blimp.  ::: Beating myself up for letting myself go :::

Anywho, I'm not gone forever.  Time to time, I plan to post book reviews, new recipes that I try at home (whenever I'm motivated) and reviews on new adventures that we try out in Northern Virginia/DC.  Who knows, I may be back sooner than later!

Until next time...... ☺

Kidz Plaza in Ashburn

Kidz Plaza
Indoor Playground

Have you noticed how much rain we are getting this Summer?  I'm pretty sure everyone that lives in Northern Virginia feels the same when I say that we're sick of it!  July needs to bring the sun back out especially since we're taking our family vacation at the end of the month.

On one of the rainy days that I had off work last week, I took Briana out to Ashburn to try out Kidz Plaza.  It's a new indoor playground that just opened at the end of April this year.  From what I saw on their Facebook page, it looked like a good time... and it really was!
It's not free, but the $10.00 I paid for her to get in was worth it.

Along with the huge playground there's an inflatable slide, an obstacle course and a moon bounce.  It was fun to chase her around.

She loved the ball pit.  ☺

The playground itself was endless fun for her.  Lots of climbing, running sliding and jumping.

In the back of the playground there is a place where Wii Games are set up.  If we had other friends with us I  think that would have been a blast.

There are also little corners filled with toys, etc.

Everything about this place is adorable, even the bathrooms!

Last but not least, there's a great lounge where parent's can relax or where you and the kiddies can have a snack break.  Snacks and drinks are available for purchase.

Kidz Plaza is where I'll go again especially in the cold winter months when we're bored and there's nothing to do.  The drive is worth it!

I had a Saturday off work.
It sure is nice to be on the "other side" as a manager! ☺
This past weekend my lil lady cousin graduated from high school.  She's come a long way and worked really hard to get to where she's at now.  So proud of her!
We headed down to her Graduation party and it took 2 1/2 hours to get down 95.. not cool.
Basically we showed up at the end of it all but it sure was nice to see family.

This time ten years ago, I graduated high school... barely.
I was a bit of a rebel in my teenage years and didn't get out of that stage until I turned about 22.

(Why did I think this hair color was cool??)

OH, memories. ☺

What Are You Reading?

Happy Monday!
Monday has got to be one of the best days to have off of work.
While everyone's bitching about how they're back to work, I'm being a lazy bum...
though we did make it to my friend's Birthday party for her son and I went on an easy going 2.5 mile run.
Lovely day it was ☺

I have started reading The Vincent Boys Series by Abbi Glines.
So far: It's picked up pretty quickly.  DAMN IT'S GOOOOD!
I'm loving the characters.  Abbi Glines is now on my list for Top Best Authors.

Goodreads Synopsis:

Ashton is getting tired of being good, of impressing her parents and playing ideal girlfriend to Sawyer Vincent. Sawyer is perfect, a regular Prince Charming, but when he leaves town for the summer, it’s his cousin Beau who catches Ashton’s eye. Beau is the sexiest guy she’s ever seen, and even though he’s dangerous, Ashton is drawn to him.

Beau loves his cousin like a brother, so the last thing he wants to do is make a move on Sawyer’s girl. Ashton is off-limits, absolutely. That’s why he does his best to keep his distance, even though he’s been in love with her forever. When Ashton wants to rekindle their childhood friendship in Sawyer’s absence, Beau knows he should say no.

Ashton and Beau don’t want to hurt Sawyer. But the more they try to stay away from each other, the more intense their urges become. It’s getting way too hard to resist....

Once I get through both books, I'll post a review!
Happy Reading.
