A marriage in name only…
To save her family home, impulsive bookstore owner, Alexa Maria McKenzie, casts a love spell. But she never planned on conjuring up her best friend’s older brother—the powerful man who once shattered her heart.
Billionaire Nicholas Ryan doesn’t believe in marriage, but in order to inherit his father’s corporation, he needs a wife and needs one fast. When he discovers his sister’s childhood friend is in dire financial straits, he’s offers Alexa a bold proposition.
A marriage in name only with certain rules: Avoid entanglement. Keep things all business. Do not fall in love. The arrangement is only for a year so the rules shouldn’t be that hard to follow, right?

For working Mommies like me that are looking for fast reads... add The Marriage Bargain to your list!  Alexa is a powerful independent woman that would do anything for her family.  But she tries to make Nicholas think otherwise... that she's just in it for the money, for selfish reasons.  That way, it keeps distance between them and it doesn't make her look weak and vulnerable.  I was hooked pretty much right from the beginning to the end.
I love how the author shows both sides of what they're thinking.  Their attraction to each other is strong but on the outside you can't tell by looking at each other.  The sexual tension was so strong I would catch myself giggling from time to time and my Hubs asking, "What's so funny?"  Romantic and hilarious!

There are all sorts of reasons why people get married nowadays.
Money, love... or they think they're in love and end up divorced down the line.
The author gives all of her readers a little hope for the impossible couple.

Short and sweet review, just like the book!
